Privacy information
Note: This is pre-launch website information, not yet the final App Store privacy policy.
This notice covers the current website and the development status of OP-Counter Personal Basic. Before release, it will be reconciled with the final app build and applicable legal requirements.
Controller and contact
OPCounter is an independent project developed by Finn Loughnane in Switzerland. Website and app questions: support@opcounter.ch. Privacy questions: privacy@opcounter.ch.
Website usage
The delivered static website includes no analytics or advertising scripts, no third-party embeds and sets no first-party cookies. The hosting provider Infomaniak may process technically necessary connection information (such as IP address, time and browser details) to operate the hosting service.
Email enquiries
If you email us, we process your sender address and message to reply. Infomaniak provides our mail infrastructure. Please do not send patient data or confidential clinical information.
Data in OP-Counter Basic
In the current development build, personal surgical and training records are mainly stored locally on the device, with no mandatory account. This may include procedures, roles, workplaces, courses, notes and an optional contact card. App access secrets are protected locally; biometric checks are handled by iOS. The final data flows will be reviewed before publication.
Backups, sharing and deletion
New JSON backups can be password encrypted. Older backups and other exports may be unencrypted. Files are saved to locations chosen by the user, which may be subject to third-party policies. Local app information can be removed through the app or operating system; exported copies are not automatically deleted.
Your rights and updates
For access, correction or deletion questions please email privacy@opcounter.ch. Because no central surgical logbook accounts are planned, we generally cannot access or remotely erase local records. We will update this notice before public app release and when material changes occur.
